Tamang Heritage Trek is a short trek in the North direction of Kathmandu Valley. It is a cultural trek to explore the Tamang community settled in the green valley surrounded by Mountains and hills from the alternative route of the Langtang trek. Tibetan culture, homestay and panoramic view of the Langtang mountain range, Ganesh Himal, and Gosaikunda range is the amazing parts you can enjoy.
Tamang heritage trekking is a short trek in Langtang Valley offering majestic beauty of mountains, forest, farmland, and local life. You will encounter the Tamang community and unique houses carrying the history of the Tamang lifestyle. This trekking offers an alternate route from Syabrubeshi then Langtang Valley trek.
The Tamang heritage trekking itinerary begins with a six-hour drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi. You will trek to different Tamang communities such as Gatlang, Tatopani, Thuman, and Briddim. These villages offer tea houses and homestays for better hospitality of yours.
The viewpoints of Syabrubeshi and Nagthali offer amazing view of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Gosaikunda range, Goljan Valley, and surrounding green hills. The black slate-roofed houses, terrace farming, pine forest, rhododendron trees, and flowing river repeatedly occur in the Tamang heritage trekking trail.

Tamang Heritage Trek Itinerary
Our company member will welcome you and drop you to hotel after you arrival in Tribhuvan international airport. In the evening you will meet your guide and get briefing of trek. You will also have welcome dinner with company members.
After having breakfast, we will start our drive to Tamang heritage trekking route. After around six hours of driving on the hilly road passing through the bank of Trisuli River, forest and terrace farming lands we will reach Syabrubesi. The amazing view of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh himal and Langtang Himal range welcome us in Syabrubesi.
From today we will start our walk on the Tamang heritage trial. The first destination Gatlang lies in western part of Langtang national park. We will reach the view point of Syabrubeshi after an hour of walk. Stopping for enjoying the panaromic view of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda range and Goljan valley we will continue to Gatlang. Uphills and downhills to cultural and historic village of Tamang community welcome us in Gatlang.
We can view the black roofed houses, terrace farming, pine forest, spruce, fir and rhododendron trees in the trial.
Enjoying the breakfast in Gatlang we will start the trekking towards Thangbuchet. The descending trial on the bank of river, crossing the suspension bridges we will ascend to tatopani village. We can enjoy the hot spring even take bath depending on your choice. It is believed that you can heal paining of body parts with shower in this natural hot spring. The village is named as tatopani due to the source of natural hot water spring in the village.
